The department runs two specializations in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in technical informatics (first degree, second degree):

• Information Systems Engineering (INS), supervisor: Professor Olgierd Unold,
• Graphics and Multimedia Systems (IGM), supervisor: Professor Henryk Maciejewski,

as well as an english-language specialization in the second-degree course in Technical Informatics:

• Internet Engineering (INE), supervisor: Professor Czesław Smutnicki.

The department runs a specialization in automation and robotics - at first and second-degree full-time studies:

• Information Technology in Automation Systems (ART), supervisor: Professor Ewa Skubalska-Rafajowicz

as well as on the newly-opened informatics automation systems course - in first and second-degree full-time studies - specialization:

• Information Technology Applications (IZT), supervisor: Professor Ewa Skubalska-Rafajowicz.

The department also participates in the teaching process of the automation and robotics course run by the department of control systems and mechatronics.
