Laboratory Supervisor: Dr. Marek Woda, Marek.Woda@pwr.edu.pl
Location: room L2.7 in building C-16 on the WUST Campus
The primary focus of the laboratory is teaching and research in human-computer interaction, computer graphics, data mining, animation and simulation of phenomena, objects and systems, and multimedia - including virtual and augmented reality. The room is used for laboratory, seminar, and design classes. The room is occasionally used by the Traf-Barak circle. The room is equipped with a multimedia projector, screen, and whiteboards. The 18 computer workstations are equipped with programming environments (Visual Studio) and software for numerical calculations and machine learning with the possibility of training deep neural networks (MatLab, among others) as well as a virtualized data processing environment based on SAS software.
The laboratory can perform research work in the field of analysis, modeling, and visualization of 3-D scenes, raster image processing, and video streams. The laboratory also carries out work in the field of data mining, concerning association rules, data clustering, predictive models, and applications of data mining methods to biomedical issues.
