Department of Computer Engineering

019a/C-3 Laboratory of Microcontrollers, Data Warehousing and Data Mining, Parallel, and Distributed Applications

Supervisors and location

Laboratory Supervisor: Dr. Henryk Maciejewski, DSc, Henryk.Maciejewski@pwr.edu.pl.

Location: room 019a in building C-3 on the WUST Campus

Scope of activities

The primary focus of the laboratory is teaching and research in the basics of microprocessor technology, low-level programming of microcontrollers, design of web and distributed applications - MPI or Apache Spark cluster, and implementation of projects from intelligent computing and soft-computing systems - for courses taught in the Technical Computer Science course. The software has been installed for virtualization, programming of microcontrollers and microprocessors, and machine learning with the training of deep neural networks. The room is equipped with a multimedia projector, screen, and whiteboards.

Offer for Industry

The laboratory has capabilities to perform research work in the field of low-level C/assembler programming with extensions and distributed programming; concurrency issues in multitasking and multithreaded systems, as well as processing in a cluster computing environment (MPI / Apache Spark technology). The laboratory also can perform research work in the field of intelligent data processing and machine learning, together with the training of deep neural networks.
